On August 23, at 10am, the riders met at the Aberdeen Transit station in Richmond, then rode on the nearby dyke along the Fraser River heading south.
Great views of the river and airport along here. We then connected with the paved, treed, rail corridor to Steveston.
The weather was perfect and the ocean breezes refreshing. A great open air seafood lunch was enjoyed on the dock at Steveston at a very friendly cafe.
We rode back on the same route and all said let’s do it again. The Arbutus Greenway seems very convenient for the group, so it was agreed as the next route.
