Wow, what a great day for a ride, with perfect sunny weather!
We met, 5 riders, near the North end of the Arbutus Greenway at 10 am. We rode south on the very safe, paved bike/walk path, beside parks and trees (See attached picture).
Along the route the VPD have a station to register ones bike, and we had two done. (This process takes photos and serial number of bikes so, if stolen, can hopefully be returned).
The Greenway slopes down to the Fraser River and the heritage looking Milltown pub. The pub is located at the end of a spit near many docked boats. We, fortunately, got there early for a table as they soon became a full house. We had great food overlooking the active river and airport.
