The Police Museum, a heritage building in the heart of the downtown east side, houses the former Coroner’s Court, Morgue, Autopsy Room and Crime Lab. Much of the exhibit is extremely authentic! The feature exhibit is “Vancouver Youth and the Law”. The museum works with schools and conducts evening adult projects such as “Movies in the Morgue”.
The museum is one of the oldest police museums in North America and is one of the best museums in Vancouver. The “Sins of the City” tour is ranked as one of the ten best city walks.

9:30 AM – ARRIVE FOR COFFEE
10:00-11:00 AM – TOUR MUSEUM
11:00- Short break
11:05 – 1:00 PM –SINS OF THE CITY-12 Block Walking Tour
1:30 – NO HOST LUNCH – There are many eating places in the area including Gastown and Chinatown. The historic atmosphere of this area is undeniable.
LOCATION DETAILS
The Ovaltine Café is behind the Museum at 251 E. Hastings east of Hastings and Main. The Museum is at 240 E.Cordova (one way East) next to Fire Hall Arts Centre.
Arriving by bus: Several buses access area as well as Expo and Canada Lines.
Arriving by car: Public Parking is available off Main on Keefer (nr Chinese Cultural Centre), Cordova and Powell (one-way West). Meters are along the streets (2hr limit)
