John Atkin is a well known and extremely knowledgeable Vancouver historian, researcher and tour guide.  Vancouver’s China Town district with its rich history and architecture is one of the oldest and most fascinating areas of our city.  This is a walking tour not to be missed!

John has given many walking tours for Probus in recent years.  His tours are always popular.  As this tour will be limited to 25 members, we suggest you sign up as soon as possible.

ITINERARY

9:30 AM – ARRIVE FOR COFFEE

10:00 AM – WALKING TOUR STARTS

APROX 12:00 NOON – GUIDED TOUR ENDS

12:30 – NO HOST LUNCH – THERE ARE MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS IN CHINA TOWN.

 LOCATION DETAILS

We will meet at The Message Café, 75 East Pender Street (opposite the Chinese Cultural Centre between Carrall and Columbia Streets) at 9:30am for coffee and muffins.  The tour will start at 10am.

Arriving by transit:  Sky train or bus to Waterfront Station, then 135 bus (SFU) along West Hastings Street to Carrall Street or 22 bus to Carrall Street.

Arriving by car:  car pool if possible  – see map below for parking.
